Rules - How to play Yavalath

Two players take turns placing a piece of their own color (black and white) on an empty space on the board. The player who makes a line of four or more of their pieces in a row wins. A player loses if they create a line of exactly three pieces without also making a line of four or more at the same time. If the board fills up and there are no lines of three or more pieces, the game is a draw. The official rules, some tactical tips, and an example game can be found on Cameron Browne's Yavalath page.
